After Palm announced the Pre last month, I gathered reactions from prominent tech blogs and Pinoy techies, particularly Apple fans. I never got to complete it. Converting videos for Sony Ericsson

After several attempts, I was finally able to successfully convert using VisualHub for Mac a video file for viewing on a Sony Ericsson phone.

Twit, Plurk through SMS using Ping.fm and YM

With new social networking sites that followed Twitter, Plurk, and Jaiku, a social networker like me couldn’t help but wish that I could update all my services at the same time. Hellotxt.com and Ping.fm made it possible.
But what if I want to use my cellphone — particularly the text messaging service, since connecting to GPRS or 3G remains costly? Today, I learned that it is also possible with the help of Ping.fm and Yahoo! Messenger for SMS.

Palm webOS and Palm Pre

Critics expected the launch to be Palm’s last attempt at fighting what they thought was an inevitable final slide to oblivion. But we now know that what the world witnessed was a sweet surprise that, for Palm’s loyal fans, felt like a reward for sticking it out with their beloved brand even if most of their friends had already moved on and embraced apples and berries. In Las Vegas, cheers and applause welcomed Palm’s new OS and its first phone.
