Gaya ng ikinuwento ko sa ederic@cyberspace, kakapalit ko lang ng operating system ko. Mula sa Windows XP ay lumipat ako sa Ubuntu, isang Linux-based operating system. Di tulad ng mga OS ng Microsoft, libre ito. Nalaman ko ring sa una lang ito mukhang mahirap gamitin.
Sa pagpapalit ko ng OS, ang compatibility nito sa Treo ko ang isa sa mga concerns ko. Ayon naman sa mga nabasa ko, ayos lang ang Palm at Ubuntu. Totoo naman. Eto nga ang isinulat ko sa kabilang blog:
Nabalitaan ko sa isang blog entry ng Palm Info Center na mayroon nang nakahawak ng natsitsismis na GSM version ang Palm Centro.
Ayon naman sa Treobits.com, isa sa mga blogger ng PalmDoc.net ang nag-post tungkol sa pagte-test niya sa PDA phone:
This is the GSM/Edge version of the new compact PDA phone from Palm. I was fortunate enough to be given an opportunity to have a “hands-on” with this lovely device.
Sinundan pa ito ng isa pang entry, Palm Centro experience so far.
Just when I decided to check out Gmail’s new feature, the IMAP access, on my Palm, this is what I saw on Gmail’s configuration page:
* Palm handheld users: please note that Gmail IMAP access is not currently compatible with VersaMail.
VersaMail is Palm’s default e-mail client.
But since I’m makulit, I still tried it on my Treo 650 using these settings, and this is the response I got:
Unable to connect to imap.gmail.com. Please verify your server name entry.
Aray! Sad naman. I hope they’ll fix it soon.
