  • /pages/pages-default.php for ad on pages

Written by Patrick Ames and published by Peachpit Press, the full-color book which is currently priced at $17.99 (around Php 783) promises tips, tutorials, and techniques not disclosed in the PDF manuals.

“Now You Know Centro is meant to be fast and simple, allowing you to practice on your handheld while you read. You’ll learn about the wireless capabilities, e-mail, media and streaming media, accessories, productivity, and more. In minutes, you can watch your skills improve and use what you learn immediately,” the book’s description says.

It adds that the book “is designed for immediate gratification, not for hour-long reads, the exact way you use your smartphone.”

To enable Internet sharing from PC to Treo:

sudo /usr/local/bin/palm-ppp

To launch Google Video uploader:

 java -jar /opt/GoogleVideoUploader.jarTo convert ogg to avi:

mencoder -idx thefile.ogg -ovc lavc -oac mp3lame -o newfilename.avi

pilot-xfer -p usb:/dev/ttyUSB1 -b palm_backup/

I found this command line — that generated a backup of all files on my Treo’s internal memory — at Atul Chitnis’ site while trying to look for a way to sync my AvantGo with J-Pilot. Syncing with J-Pilot used sync my AvantGo, too but it stopped after I upgraded my OS.

Dati, nawiwirduhan ako kapag naghanap ng number ng mga tao sa Contacts application ng Treo. Halimbawa, hahanapin ko ang number ni Diana Zubiri–kunwari, meron ako–o ni Senator Migz Zubiri. Siyempre, ang una kong ita-type ay ang mga letrang Z-U. Inaasahan kong ang lalabas lamang ay mga apelyido at pangalang nagsisimula sa Zu.

Pero nagtataka ako dahil di ganito ang nangyayari. Sa halip, ang unang entry na lumalabas ay Zeng, Umil.

Kinalauan, nalaman mula sa Quick Tour ng Treo na upang mas madaling mahanap ang number ni Diana Zubiri, ang dapat kong i-enter ay D at Z, o DZubiri. Kung kay Migz naman–na ang entry sa Contacts ko ay Zubiri, Juan Miguel–ang dapat kong i-type ay JZubiri. Ang ginagawa pala kasi ng system ay humahanap ng contact na ang first name ay nagsisimula sa unang titik na ipinasok at ang last name ay nagsisimula sa ikalawang titik.
